Search for the next head coach
The coaching search stands as the pivotal decision for the LakeShow this offseason.
With the departure of Darvin Ham, the team is on the hunt for a head coach who can establish a long-term presence in LA, a decision that will significantly impact the team's future.
Coaching interviews will begin next week, with names like Kenny Atkinson, JJ Redick, David Adelman, and more expected to be in the mix.
Ty Lue is a coach the Lakers are enamored with, but he would have to leave the Clippers to be an option.

LeBron James’ future
Another big offseason question for the Lakers is LeBron James's future. Shams stated, “LeBron James wants to play up until two more seasons. The Lakers want to bring him back and want to bring in Bronny James in the second round.”
The front office wants James to retire as a Laker and wants to retain him for the remainder of his career. They seem willing to draft Bronny in the second round to fulfill LeBron’s dream of playing with his son.
This is a weak draft class, and Bronny could develop, especially with some time in the G-League. Bronny was a great perimeter defender at USC but struggled on the offensive end. He averaged 5/3/2 on 37/27/68 shooting splits.
Drafting Bronny in the second round would keep LeBron happy, and the 19-year-old could turn into a solid 3&D role player if he develops his shot.
